A grass fire burned nearly 25 acres on the north side of the Kern River near the Park at Riverwalk in Southwest Bakersfield Monday afternoon.

The fire lasted over six hours. Both Bakersfield Fire and Kern County Fire responded.

The fire started at Calloway Road near Stockdale Highway.

No one was injured. The cause is under investigation.
