Groundbreaking announced for new Marriott hotel in Tehachapi

TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Construction started today for the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Tehachapi, set to open in the Summer of 2021.

The hotel is being built on Magellan Drive, as part of a planned business park situated one block from Adventist Health in Tehachapi. It will have easy access from Exit 149 of Highway 58, according to a press release.

The hotel will offer studio and one-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitches, according to the release, as well as seperate living and sleeping areas. The hotel will also include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, meeting space, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi.

“This project will be a welcome new addition to the Tehachapi market, and we expect an even bigger celebration upon opening,” said Adrienne Jubb, Vice President, MSB Development, Marriot International in the release.

The new hotel will be developed and owned by California-based H2H Asset Group and will be managed by Hotel Equities.
