A special holiday concert was held Wednesday night at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace to benefit a local organization helping those living with cancer.
On Dec. 13, the Guitar Masters presented "Christmas with the Cranktones," a concert benefiting the Kern County Cancer Fund.
The Cancer Fund helps provide resources and various services for local people undergoing treatment for cancer. The Guitar Masters founder, Rick Kreiser, said that service is very important and he personally wants to see it grow and continue.
Kreiser said in the first year they held this event, they raised $5000 for the Cancer Fund. Last year, they raised $23,000. He hopes they can beat that number this year.
