Parents in southwest Bakersfield are on high alert tonight.
A student was approached by a man in a car, demanding they get inside.
The girl was approached back in October by a man driving a blue Fiat.
The man told her that her parents are the ones that sent him.
She immediately went home and told her parents who then contacted law enforcement.
A reminder to parents to talk to their children about what they should do if they are ever in the same situation.
Encourage your child to use the buddy system and always walk with at least one friend.
Also remind them to never get close to car if someone inside is asking them for directions.
If a stranger tries to pull or grab them, tell them to yell or scream to get someone’s attention.
Bakersfield City School District Officials say that have not had any similar incidents happen at any other schools within the district.
