BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Officials say one man is fighting for his life following a head-on collision in southwest Bakersfield around 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

The collision occurred on Panama Lane near Stine Road, which sent multiple people from both vehicles to the hospital, a Bakersfield Police Department press release shows.

All victims are expected to survive, but one man who was driving one of the vehicles sustained life-threatening injuries, the release said.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision, according to BPD.
