BAKESRFIELD, Calif. — With graduation for CSUB coming up on Friday, Bakersfield Police will be assisting with traffic control in a number of intersections.

School officials say there should be higher traffic volumes and significant delays starting at 5 a.m. and continuing until noon on Friday.

Officers will be assisting with traffic control in the intersections of:

  • Stockdale Highway at Don Hart East
  • Stockdale Highway at Don Hart West
  • Gosford Road at Kroll Way
  • Camino Media from Haggin Oak Boulevard through Scarlet Oak Boulevard

Overflow parking will be available in the north parking lot of Edwards Cinema.

Police say that if overflow parking is needed, motorists should anticipate Camino Media to be closed between Haggin Oaks Boulevard and Scarlet Oaks Boulevard.

Stockdale Highway will be open in both directions, but motorists should expect delays.

23ABC's weather team has created a traffic map to show the “expected slowing” around CSUB Friday morning.
