Here's how you can get low-cost vaccination for your dogs this Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Field Services is scheduled to host a low cost vaccination and licensing clinic for dogs living within the city limits.

According to city officials, the clinic will be held at Central Park at Millcreek at 600 19th Street on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

They will offer vaccinations such as Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella.

  • Rabies vaccines can be given to puppies as young as 3 months of age as well as adult dogs. A dog license must be purchased in conjunction with the rabies vaccine.
  • The DAPP vaccines are for puppies needing to begin their vaccination series or adult dogs needing booster shots.
  • The Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is usually required for admittance into boarding and grooming facilities.
