BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County is inviting the community out to help design Virginia Avenue Park.

Officials say they're currently in the process of applying for grant funds under Proposition 68 for the park and needs the public's help to place and design it.

A community meeting will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 4 p.m. at Virginia Avenue Park located between Tanner Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue.
