Bakersfield National Cemetery will be hosting Wreaths Across America, a holiday wreath-laying ceremony honoring veterans, on Saturday, Dec. 16th at 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd. Arvin, CA 93203.
The Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club, Bakersfield National Cemetery Support Committee, and volunteers will all be coordinating the event to honor veterans of each of the branches of the military, the Merchant Marine, Prisoners of War, and those who are still missing in action.
There will be buses available to take participants from the central parking area to the administration building and then the assembly area for the ceremony.
After families pick up the wreaths from the administration building they will have the opportunity to lay them on the graveside of their loved one.
