The Kern County Homeless Collaborative is expected to give an update on the state of homelessness in the county on Friday.
The collaborative will hold a press conference on Friday, October 12, to talk about current resources being deployed to immediately impact homelessness in the City of Bakersfield and the County of Kern.
They'll also be kicking off their Home at Last Campaign, with a community call to action during the press conference, being held at the Doubletree Hotel at 9:20 a.m. The collaborative says their mission is to put an end to homelessness in Kern County through planning and action.
