Kern County homicide detectives were called out to an area in Mojave, Calif. after they found a body in that area Sunday morning.

Officials said the detectives were called out at about 8 a.m. after a body was found in the 5900 block of Pioneer Road.

They arrived and located an obviously deceased male in the residence suffering from apparent trauma.

KCSO officials said that Homicide detectives arrived and assumed the investigation.

During the investigation, detectives determined the victim lived with his brother.

According to KCSO, the victim’s brother called 911 after he found the victim down inside the residence.

The victim’s brother was interviewed by detectives and released.

At this time, the death is considered suspicious and there are no suspects outstanding.

The identity of the victim will be released by the coroner’s office at a later time.

The cause and manner of death will be determined at an autopsy later this week.
