In the midst of all the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, organizations from all over the country are getting involved to help the victims. 

In Kern County, Honor Flight and the Bakersfield Police will be teaming up to take donations to be sent to victims in Houston and New Orleans. 

Honor Flight officials are asking for the donations of blankets, packaged socks, boxed shoes, boots, packaged toiletries, dry pet food, beds and leashes. 

The drive will be held in the parking lot at Riverwalk behind BJ's and P.F. Chang's beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday.
