Here's your chance to send off a group of veterans in style to Washington D.C.

Saturday, May 5th at 3:45 a.m. sixteen veterans will arrive at Meadow Field to prepare for their trip. They are expected to be through TSA around 4:20 a.m. to be able to make their flight.

The veteran group includes heroes from World War II and the Korean War. They are scheduled to visit monuments and memorials from the wars they fought in, as well as receiving an honor for their military service. 

The Honor Flight will land home in Bakersfield Monday, May 7th at 8:30 p.m. Honor Flight Kern County organizers are asking for the public's support to send the veterans off and welcome them home at the airport.
