As Honor Flights Kern County's All Day Media Fundraiser approaches, the organization is looking for volunteers to help out.
The fundraising event will take place on Nov. 9 at three locations: The Shops at Riverwalk behind P.F. Changs, Northwest Promenade by Chuy's and downtown on 23rd Street and L Street.
Honor Flight needs volunteers to stand outside holding banners and money buckets from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to collect funds to be able to send more veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor.
