The Honor Flight Network announced Thursday that they've made the decision to suspend all Honor Flights until 2021 due to the continued uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Honor Flight sends local veterans to tour the war memorials made in their honor in Washington, D.C.
The news was shared in a Facebook post along with a message: "Today, we made the very difficult but necessary decision to suspend all trips in 2020. Thank you to our hubs for remaining creative in how you continue to honor our veterans at this time. And thank you to all our supporters. A brighter future is ahead. Planning for 2021 starts now! The Honor Flight Network will continue until every veteran has experienced our national memorials to service."
