CSUB President Horace Mitchell issued the following statement following the death of former Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall on Saturday:

"Barbara and I are saddened by the passing of Harvey Hall. Harvey was a great leader in the community and an outstanding supporter of CSUB and education at all levels. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lavonne and family."
