The Hosking Avenue interchange project officially wrapped up on Friday.
Crews with Caltrans held a ribbon cutting to celebrate.
Officials said the construction crews still have some work left to complete but the interchange is open.
The interchange will help relieve traffic on Panama Lane and Taft Highway.
The idea for the interchange began 10 years ago and city officials hope the new route could bring in more revenue for Bakersfield through new trucking routes.
