The Bakersfield Fire Department is responding to a house fire in South Bakersfield.

The home is located on Southgate Dr. and Sunshine Avenue. According to the BFD Battalion Chief, a homeless woman was seen leaving the scene. She was detained by KCSO and is being questioned.

Arson investigators are en route. The home was unoccupied.
