One man sustained minor injuries after a house fire in Tehachapi Monday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 22000 block of Arnds Drive in Tehachapi around 9:43 a.m.

When crews arrived, the garage was fully-involved and spreading into the living area as well as the attic.

Nearly 75% of the house was saved. One man suffered from minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

An estimated $150,000 in damage was done to the home. The fire was caused by a mechanical problem from a pickup truck that set the garage on fire.
