BAKERSFIELD, Calif - An iconic old dive bar in East Bakersfield caught fire Tuesday afternoon.
Amestoy's on the Hill over River Boulevard caught fire just before 4 p.m.
It is not clear what caused the fire and crews said there have been several fires there in the last few months.
The Bakersfield City Fire Department Battalion Chief Public Information Officer Michael Walkley shined some light on the situation during an interview with 23abc.

Amestoy's has been a staple of the community. The bar opened back in 1948 but closed its doors last summer.
