Immigrants held at the Mesa Verde ICE Processing Facility are reportedly on a hunger strike calling the living conditions in the cells 'inhumane.'
According to the Immigrant Defense Project, they are on strike to address the lack of fresh food, clean working bathrooms, and clean dorms.
Other inmates in detention centers like San Quentin just north of San Fransisco are also participating in a hunger strike for similar reasons.
