TAFT, Calif. — The city of Taft will host the first-ever Valley Fever 5K Run & 2K Walk this weekend, organized by the Valley Fever Institute at Kern Medical in partnership with the West Side Recreation & Park District.
Western Kern County including Taft and the surrounding communities have some of the highest rates of Valley Fever cases in Kern County. The Taft Valley Fever 5K Run & 2K Walk will offer a fun and healthy way to increase awareness in Kern County.
Valley Fever Institute experts will be on hand to answer questions and share information about the services we provide.
It's happening Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the West Side Recreation & Park District in Taft. Tickets can be purchased at ValleyFeverInstitute.com and WSRPD.com
