An Independence High School student has been arrested for bringing an airsoft gun on campus Tuesday, according to the Kern High School District.
KHSD police officers say they responded to the school's campus immediately and arrested the student and transported the student to juvenile hall.
The student has not been identified and the Kern High School District told 23ABC Wednesday "they take these matters seriously, as the safety of our students and staff is a priority."
