Infant abandoned in Walmart restroom in L.A. County

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is looking for anyone connected to the abandonment of an infant at a Walmart in Lakewood.

According to the LACSD, a baby boy, believed to be between 12 and 15 months old was found in a restroom at a Walmart in Lakewood. 

According to a post on social media by LACSD, the baby was discovered by a Walmart customer, who notified a store employee. 

The child's parents have not yet been identified and nobody has reported the child missing. 

LACSD says "Walmart video footage was reviewed and detectives from Special Victims Bureau were unable to identify any possible suspects; however, a person of interest was captured on video who detectives would like to speak with."

LACSD posted a picture of the person of interest, as well as a photograph of the vehicle the he is seen entering and driving away in. The vehicle appears to be a beige or gold colored 2000-2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. 

Special Victims Bureau is asking for the public’s help with identifying the male depicted in the picture.
