Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft could be coming to Meadows Field as soon as August.

Interim airport director Teresa Hitchcock tells 23ABC that a deal is in the works to allow ride-sharing services to pick up and drop off customers at the airport.

Hitchcock said she's been in contact with Uber and Lyft to work out the details of a contract. She said a proposal could go before the Kern County Board of Supervisors by next month. If approved, the services could be available by August.
