An investigator with the Kern County Public Defenders Office was arrested over the weekend on spousal battery charges.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office hasn't released much information surrounding the incident, but Ray Pruitt, Public Information Officer with the KCSO said that Johanna Romero was arrested Saturday evening at about 10:30 p.m.

She was booked on charges of spousal battery.
