Investigators digging for the remains of Kristin Smart, a Cal Poly student who went missing in 1996, said they have uncovered “items of interest”, KABC-TV reported.
The items are being analyzed to see if they’re related to Kristin Smart’s disappearance, according to sheriff’s officials.
The items found at the excavation site were not described.
Two dozen FBI agents and local law enforcement were sent to conduct the search earlier this week.
