A jack knifed big rig caused the closure of 3 lanes of Northbound Interstate 5 near the base of the Grapevine on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig ran into another vehicle around 5:30 a.m. before jack knifing.
The CHP says the big rig that jack knifed spilled about 100 gallons of fuel. Hazardous Materials crews were called to the scene to help with cleanup.
The CHP reports a jack-knifed big rig has the left three lanes of northbound I-5 blocked at the left-side escape ramp as you're coming down the grade. Unknown injuries and no ETA to reopen the lanes. Only the slow lane is open, so move to the right pic.twitter.com/qbd2Oedyr0
