In January 2018, Jaz McKay came under intense backlash after posting a Facebook Live video (that was later deleted) showing him making racial slurs aimed at Spanish music radio stations locally.

In the video he appears to call on his supporters to only listen to English radio stations. This is not the first time he's gotten into trouble. In June of 2017, McKay's CCW permit was suspended for comments he made on Facebook about gun violence.

Since the most recent incident, McKay has not appeared on his show and has apologized after the video went viral.

McKay came back today at KERN Radio this morning as a fill-in, according to President of American General Media, Rogers Brandon.
