A Jeep painted like an American flag is helping Bakersfield celebrate Flag Day -- and even better, it's all for a good cause.
Honor Flight Kern County is raffling off the Jeep, which was donated by Bakersfield Chrysler Jeep. The vehicle was on display today in Southwest Bakersfield as Honor Flight works toward its goal of selling 1,000 tickets, which are $50 each.
Honor Flight Kern County Executive Director Lili Marsh said Flag Day was a good opportunity to show off the patriotic vehicle, especially in light of tragic violence in recent days.
"It's just important that we remember that we're all Americans," Marsh said.
