BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Jeremy King was in court Monday morning in connection to the 2017 shooting death of five-year-old Kayson Guyton. King has pleaded not guilty and was denied bail.
King is facing numerous charges including murder in the first degree. He was arrested last week after surrendering himself to the Bakersfield Police Department after police received a tip on his location.
There are no other suspects wanted in connection to the murder of Kayson Guyton at this time.
King and Jonathan Knight, who also faces murder charges stemming from the Guyton case, is due back in court Wednesday.
