They were places for families and friends to grab a bite before or after a movie, but now two businesses at The Marketplace in southwest Bakersfield have closed their doors.
Fifties-style diner, Johnny Rockets and frozen yogurt shop, Yogurt Zone have closed for business. Both were located near Edward's Cinemas on Ming Avenue.
Johnny Rockets, which has been at The Marketplace since 2002, has a note on the door saying 'Thank you for all the years of patronage and the memories.'
It is unknown at this time why both businesses have closed.
