BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to fair organizers, Josh Turner has canceled his upcoming appearance at the Kern County Fair following the tragic death of one of his crew members in a bus crash Wednesday night.
David Turner, who is reportedly Josh Turner's sound engineer, has been identified as the one person killed in the deadly tour bus crash. According to a California Highway Patrol report, David Turner was one of the passengers on the bus when it crashed just east of McMillan Canyon Road late Wednesday night. Josh Turner was not on the tour bus at the time it crashed.
Josh Turner was scheduled to perform Monday, September 23 as apart of the Kern County Fair's musical line-up. Organizers confirmed that country-artist Phil Vassar will be his replacement.
