Julie Chavez Rodriguez was appointed by Senator-Elect Kamala Harris as California State Director Monday.
Rodriguez helped develop and organize support for President Obama’s immigration reform efforts and DACA. She previously served in the Department of Interior undersecretary Ken Salazar and the Director of Programs at the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation.
“I am thrilled that Julie has agreed to continue her service to our state and nation as my State Director,” Harris said in a press release.
