Watch Live: July 4th Community Celebration returns to the Park at River Walk

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It's that time of the year again, when the July 4th Community Celebration returns to the Park at River Walk!

The annual tradition is perfect for the family to enjoy live entertainment, and a FREE fireworks show at the Spectrum Amphitheatre. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase by El Churro Loco, Pita Paradise, Fuego’s and Carney Kettle Corn.

The event is put on by the City of Bakersfield and AEG plus our very own morning anchors Mike Hart and Danielle Kernkamp will be emceeing the event.

Everything will pop off at 6 p.m. with music by Truxtun Mile and Wilfredo Cruz Jr. starting at 7 p.m. PM, and the fireworks scheduled for 9:15 PM.

If you can't make it, the event will be live streamed online by 23ABC on turnto23.com, and music for the firework portion of the event will be simulcast by KUZZ.

Parking for this event is extremely limited and will not be allowed in the commercial district along Stockdale Highway or the vacant lot at the corner of Stockdale and Buena Vista. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, rideshare with Uber, or use public transportation to attend the event. Secure bike valet parking will be provided by Bike Bakersfield starting at 6:00 PM.

Designated picnic shelters and areas throughout the Park are available for reservations, though they are not required to attend the event. Reservations must be made in person. Call the City of Bakersfield Recreation and Parks Department at 326-3866 for availability and cost.
