Join the Junior League of Bakersfield in a collection drive as we gather small items of comfort for BPD officers to provide to the children they encounter who have experienced traumatic events.

Donated items are requested to be geared toward children aged 10 years or younger that can fit in a gallon sized Ziploc style bag.  Examples include: small stuffed animals, colored pencils, coloring books, small toys, and donations of gallon size plastic zippered bag or cash.

Collection boxes will be located at numerous locations throughout Bakersfield through November 11th. Locations include both BPD stations, Uniquely Chic, Bakersfield Christian High School, Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce and the Larry E. Reider building.
