Juveniles found on Laurelglen school roof, one had stolen classroom items

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a call at Laurelglen Elementary School and found three juveniles on the roof. 

The call came in about 9 p.m. Tuesday evening. A spokesperson from the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District said the kids got access to the roof from a ladder attached to the building for roof access but was not secured at the top.

BPD said when they responded, all three tried to run away but were caught. One was found with items taken from classrooms. That person was taken to juvenile hall and is facing charges regarding burglary and running from police. 

The names of the three people will not be released because they are minors.
