According to the Kern County Animal Services Facebook page, the low-cost vaccine clinic that was scheduled to happen tonight at the Fruitvale location has been canceled due to excessive heat.

Officials with KCAS ask pet owners to remember to keep their pets at home where they are safe and cool. 

While the clinic is canceled, KCAS said that low-income vouchers and licensing is still available.
