Mobile home units (MHU) are becoming available to victims of the Erskine Fire who are uninsured.

The Kern County Fire Department said the project is still underway. There is no exact number yet of how many units are available, but KCFD wants to gather how many residents are interested.

The County will be reaching out to the community in multiple ways, including mailing letters and posting information to the County website.
