BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Fire Department shared a post on their Facebook page of Captain Roy Heimiller who finished serving his final shift this morning.

Heimiller is retiring after 37 years of service. KCFD said that for nearly 70 years, a member of the Heimiller family served with the department, beginning with his father and brother.
