One Kern County firefighter was hospitalized after seven were injured battling fires this weekend.
Kern County Fire Chief Brian Marshall spoke during public comment of the Kern County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday and gave an update.
He said crews responded to four fires on Sunday -- three in Arvin, one in Lebec.
While battling the fires, seven firefighters suffered "heat-related injuries". He did not specify what the injuries were. He also said one firefighter was still in the hospital.
