BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Fire Department says it has scheduled a controlled burn this Saturday in Bakersfield.

Officials say the controlled burn will be in the area of Merced Avenue, West of Highway 65 on June 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
