The Kern County Firefighters Burn Survivor Trust is hosting a 'Fill the Bucket' event to collect $100,000 for burn survivors.

The KCFD will be at the Outlets at Tejon Ranch from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today. Collection corners are at the Tejon Ranch Starbucks and at the entrance to the shopping center. 

The trust was founded after a Bakersfield house fire burned two young girls and the family had to travel out of town for medical care, racking up medical expenses for the family. Since then, the KCFFBST has been dedicated to helping burn survivors through their recovery.
