ARVIN, Calif. — Kern County Fire Departments says they responded to multiple small grass fires east of Arvin Thursday evening.
KCFD says the small fires were reported along Highway 223 east of Arvin and west of Highway 58 just before 5 p.m.

As 23ABC reported, this is the same area where KCFD was conducting planned burns along the highway Wednesday and Thursday.

There is no word on what started the grass fires Thursday.
