KCFD resuming testing on Lake Isabella area alert sirens

Posted
The Kern County Fire Department and Office of Emergency Services will resume testing of the community alert sirens in the Lake Isabella area.

This routine testing was suspended during the drought.

The sirens were installed in 2006 to alert nearby residents of possible evacuation orders related to the Lake Isabella dam.

The Kern County Fire Department urges the public to register your phone number at www.ReadyKern.org.

ReadyKern is a telephone notification system that will quickly and efficiently provide you with vital public safety information.
