Officials with the Kern County Fire Department says 22 more KCFD fire crews are en route to assist at the Valley Fire in Northern California.

On their Facebook page, KCFD says the additional 22 firefighters will join over 3,500 firefighters including 22 from KCFD that are already on the scene.

Valley Fire is burning in Lake County in Northern California. Over 73,000 acres have been burned and it is 35 percent contained.
An estimated 585 residences and hundreds of other structures have been destroyed by the fire.
