A small brush fire that erupted in Bodfish late Wednesday night is now 100% contained as of Thursday afternoon, according to Kern County Fire.

According to county fire officials, the fire broke out just before midnight near Kilbreth Drive and Highway 178 in Bodfish.

The Kilbreth fire covered about 23 acres.
