The Kern County Fire Department is working to find out if a vehicle that was found in a canal is occupied.
Reports came across around 7:15 a.m. Monday that a vehicle was almost submerged in a canal in the area of Buena Vista Boulevard and Cottonwood Road.
Kern County Fire officials say crews are set to go into the canal to see if the car was occupied or if it is abandoned.
KCFD, the California Highway Patrol and the Kern County Sheriff's Office are all on scene.
