BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — KCSO is investigating the scene where an armed suspect in the area of 909 A North Chester has been taken into custody.

According to deputies, a man with a shotgun was found outside of a business and when he was confronted returned inside with his weapon.

Deputies proceeded to block off the area and call for the gunman to surrender, this is when the gunman began to let a few people out of the building.

Officials said that after continuing to call for him, the man proceeded to surrender just after 7 p.m. where he was taken into custody.

KCSO says that they discovered that the building is possibly an internet casino and are working to get a search warrant.
