KCSO arrest man for selling moonshine at March Meet Drag Race

On Saturday March 4, 2017, detectives with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover enforcement operation at the Good Vibrations March Meet drags race at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway.

During the operation, detectives observed a subject riding a mini bike pulling a red wagon with a sign that read “Sunshine XXX.” An undercover detective contacted the subject and found he was selling homemade distilled liquor (moonshine).

The undercover detective purchased a mason jar containing the moonshine from the subject.

Mark Bingaman 54 years old from Saugus, CA was arrested for selling alcohol without a license and an outstanding warrant for selling alcohol without a license. Detectives seized twenty (20) mason jars containing moonshine during the arrest.

Mark Bingaman was booked into the Kern County Jail.  

This enforcement operation by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office was funded by the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), Grant Assistance Program (GAP)
